Parasitic worms in humans, coming out of fingernails?

we have a friend--he's an organic gardener.. he had been using neem oil as a pesticide on his plants. Today he rubbed some of the oil into his skin, and he was freaking out when we went over there today... he said that there were thread-lie worms emerging from his fingernails and eyes... is this possible, or.........?

i'm thinking W..T..F...??????????????

anyone heard of such a thing?

he seems to think that these worms are trying to escape the neem oil. apparently he's got some medication for it now...... but seriously, any info?Parasitic worms in humans, coming out of fingernails?
Dracunculiasis, more commonly known as Guinea worm disease (GWD) or Medina Worm, is a parasitic infection caused by the nematode, Dracunculus medinensis. The worm can be extracted the ulcers using the forceps.

Loa loa filaria is a microscopic worm which causes the disease loa loa filariasis (or loaisis) in humans. It is found in the rainforests of central Africa. Humans contract this disease through the bite of a horse fly (Tabanus) or deerfly or mango fly (Chrysops). The disease can cause subcutaneous red itchy swellings known as Calabar swellings. The disease can be treated with the drug diethylcarbamazine (DEC).Parasitic worms in humans, coming out of fingernails?
Not sure what happening with him. Maybe something he picked up out of the soil. One thing I know for sure, it isn't Dracunculus or Loa Loa as someone suggested.
Yuk. You didn't actually see it thought right? It's possible, but eggs would have had to have been laid in his body somehow.
I have never heard of anything like that before, but good luck.
Hope, he went to the doctor
